One of the best ways to learn about bugs is to keep and study them. They are easy to look after, inexpensive and don't require a much space. It is important to know the needs of your pets before you get them, make sure you research and prepare the necessary cage and conditions to keep them comfortable.

There are plenty of interesting bugs in and around your home which will make excellent pets. Keep these tips in mind before you go out and find a bug.

Check with an adult before you pick up any strange bugs.
Remember, some bugs are not very friendly and can bite or sting.
Make sure you know the type of housing required.
If you do start keeping wild bugs as pets, only keep them for a short time, then release them.
